Mac Maru Lingao, also known as Pocaluz.fr or Poca for short, graduated from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh – Online Division in 2017 with a BS in Media Arts and Animation. After graduation, he interned at Dark Catt Studios, where he continued learning more about the pipeline of working in the gaming industry. While interning at the studio, he was also working full time at financial institution as part of the management team. It was a struggle to juggle both jobs, and since he needed to be financially stable to pay bills, he postponed the pursuant of his career in the art industry and left the studio in 2018. This did not stop him from being creative though. He furthered his knowledge and self-studied digital art painting through watching videos and tutorials. And now, he is trying to put himself out there as a freelance digital artist, twitch streamer, and an aspiring author.
